I'm Craig Cooper, and my wife Kimber and I run Cooper Family Garage Doors — no call center, no subcontractors, just us. San Clemente has everything from older ranch homes in Southwest San Clemente and Forster Highlands to newer builds in Talega and the coastal properties near Cotton's Point and T-Street. We work on them all — single and double-car garages, three-car setups in the hillside neighborhoods, and beachfront homes where the salt air eats through springs and hardware faster than you'd think. The ocean breeze is great until it corrodes your torsion springs or rusts out your rollers. We also see plenty of wind damage after Santa Anas blow through — panels get dented, tracks get knocked out of alignment, and sensors go haywire from dust and debris.
Most calls we get in San Clemente are for broken torsion springs — that's the cable snapping loose or the door suddenly weighing 300 pounds. We also replace worn rollers and cables, fix garage doors that jumped the track, reprogram or replace LiftMaster openers, and install new doors when the old ones are too corroded or damaged to save. We do tune-ups and safety inspections, especially for homes near the coast where salt accelerates wear. If it's a garage door problem, we've fixed it a hundred times.
