Professional opener repair & installation by Cooper Family Garage Doors.
Opener repair and installation covers everything from fixing a motor that hums but won't lift the door, to pulling out a worn-out unit and putting in a new belt, chain, or direct-drive opener. Southern California homeowners usually call us when their opener quits on a hot afternoon, the remotes stop reaching the garage, or the old unit from the 90s finally gave up after years of loyal service.
Most failing openers tell you they're in trouble before they quit for good. If you notice any of these, it's time to take a look:
When you call, Kimber or I pick up and ask a few questions so we show up with the right parts on the truck. On-site, we test the motor, logic board, safety sensors, and the door's balance before we recommend anything — because a lot of "opener problems" are really spring or track problems pretending to be electrical. If repair makes sense, we fix it. If you're better off with a new LiftMaster or similar quality unit, we'll tell you straight and install it the same visit when we can.
We're licensed in California under CSLB #1153364, fully insured, and we only install openers and parts we'd put on our own garage. No mystery-brand motors, no pressure to upgrade to something you don't need. Craig does the work himself on most calls, so the person quoting you is the person turning the wrench.
Every opener we install comes with an integrated battery backup. That keeps us compliant with California SB-969, which requires battery-backup capability on every newly installed residential garage door opener in the state — and more importantly, it means your door still opens in a power outage so your car isn't trapped inside when you need to get out.
If your opener is acting up, you don't need to live with it or guess what it'll cost. We'll come out, give you a straight answer, and get your garage working the way it should — quietly, reliably, and without drama.
