One note on the ratings below: LiftMaster publishes HPs, meaning horsepower-similar. It is their comparison rating for DC motors rather than true horsepower, and we quote it the way they do rather than converting it into something it is not.

Wall-mount openers bolt beside the torsion bar instead of hanging from a rail across the ceiling. They free up the ceiling entirely, run quieter, and are the answer when headroom is tight or the garage has storage overhead.

Whichever motor you choose, the install includes new safety sensors and a new wall control matched to that motor. We do not reuse the old ones. Sensors and wall controls are the parts that fail most often on an ageing system, and pairing new hardware to a new motor is what keeps it working properly.
We also replace all the wiring rather than splicing into whatever is already up there. Splicing onto brittle decades-old wire is how you end up with a new opener behaving like an old one, and it is the shortcut most installers take because nobody sees it afterward. The one exception is wiring already run inside the wall, which stays where it is.
