I'm Craig Cooper, and Kimber and I run Cooper Family Garage Doors out of the Inland Empire. Pomona has some of the oldest housing stock in the Inland Empire. In Ganesha Hills and Lincoln Park you'll find Craftsman bungalows and early-1900s homes, many with detached garages accessed from rear alleys — setups that require a different approach than a standard attached 2-car. A lot of those garages have single-car openings with wood carriage doors or old sectional replacements that were installed decades ago. They haven't been serviced in years, sometimes ever. Through the central part of the city, the post-war tract homes have standard 2-car attached garages — but the springs and hardware are often 40 to 60 years old and running on borrowed time.
