Old Towne Orange around the historic Plaza is one of the most distinctive neighborhoods in all of Southern California — Victorian and Craftsman bungalows from the 1900s through the 1930s, a lot of them beautifully maintained. The garages on these homes are often original or were added later, which means narrow single-car openings that don't fit standard parts off the shelf. I've done jobs in Old Towne where the header clearance is only 3 inches and we had to source a low-headroom torsion bar kit. It's not a big deal if you know what you're doing, but it's not a standard swap either. On the other end of the city, east of the 55 freeway, you've got standard 1980s–2000s tract homes in Chapman Hills and the areas near Villa Park — two-car garages, normal hardware, more straightforward work.
In Orange we handle the full range: torsion spring replacement (including custom setups for older single-car or low-clearance garages), LiftMaster opener installs and repairs, cable replacements, roller and track work, and full door installations. For the older homes in Old Towne where you want to keep the aesthetic, we can source carriage-house style steel doors that look period-appropriate but are far more functional and lighter on the springs than original wood. For the newer neighborhoods, we stock standard hardware and can usually finish same-day.
